A very rewarding June and July for Caleebra - Jun/Jul 2016

MISCHA - NEUTER IN SHOW AT BENDIGO AND MULTIPLE NEUTER IN GROUPS
19/6/16 - I have had the worst year for health and after spending a day in the Emergency Department and being kept overnight for observation and with surgery scheduled in my near future I really didn't feel up to a weekend away that i'd been looking forward to for weeks.

But as i knew Robyn (Janoby) was heading away to the same weekend, I thought i'd be cheeky and ask her if she'd like to take Mischa away for the weekend. Robyn already had 2 of her own dogs going but happily agreed to take Mish along. Our blonde bombshell has made herself a lot of fans over the years and firmly won over Robyn months ago.

And so Mischa headed off on an adventure without me and i'm so glad i sent her along for the weekend.
On Friday night at the Bendigo KC Show she was awarded Best Neuter in Group 5 and then Best Neuter in Show.
At the Eaglehawke PM Show on Saturday she was again awarded Best Neuter in Group.
And on top of everything, she was happy and loved her weekend holiday with Robyn and 2 of her kids: Ryan and Indy. Mish adores kids and so was thrilled to pieces to enjoy cuddles on the bed with the kids at the end of each night. She's a funny, adorable, diva, princess. And I love her madly.
So thankful to Robyn for agreeing to take away our pretty blonde for a show holiday. I've already had Indy asking when she can borrow Mischa again.

26/6/16 - Whilst i was laid up in hospital, Mischa once again hit the show ring with Robyn.
Once again she was awarded Neuter in Group. She showed like an absolute star and made friends with the judge, showing off her tricks.
I love this pretty little blonde. She's a brat and a princess, but she's gorgeous and sweet and now loves Robyn, possibly due to all the chicken she gets fed. Thanks again to Robyn for taking our blonde out for a spin.

18/7/16 - There's not much we haven't already said about Mischa. We love this little blonde bombshell. And it seemed it was love for the judge also. She complimented Mischa on being so very beautiful and being in such great condition. Great praise from Border Collie specialist judge, Mrs Joyce Sullivan. I'm recovering after surgery so Robyn still has the reins. I'm not sure either of the girls will want to give them back to me. Mish has a new best friend in Robyn.

VEGAS - FIRST BEST OF BREED
18/7/16 This show also saw the judge award our Puppy, Vegas, his first Best of Breed. These are his first points. The little guy is really putting it together now though he's a long way from a finished product. But the judge couldn't look past him on the day and we were thrilled to receive her opinion of our future shining star.

VADER - BABY IN GROUP
19/6/16 In her last week as a Baby Puppy, Vader decided to give it all she had and took away the Baby Puppy in Group award at the Parramatta and District All Breeds Kennel Club Show on the 19th June in Sydney. The judge complimented Vader on her lovely movement which is great to hear in such a promising youngster. Kira and Vader have been training hard and it's all paying off at the moment with Vader learning to let the judge examine her without fidgeting and she's even learnt to stand still.....for a little while at least.
We're so excited for Kira and Vader and just love this little Black Beauty. Well done!

LEXIE - RALLY NOVICE TITLE AND LURE COURSING TITLE
18/6/16 Lexie earned her 3rd qualification for Rally Obedience - Novice and earned her Rally Novice title. Lexie only entered her first trial in May, with her training interrupted by seasons and babies and Jeanette says it was great to get the first one under her belt. There will no doubt be a slight pause as she progresses to the Advanced level where everything is done off lead and the courses become longer and more complex. But we've no doubt they'll get there. Jeanette and Lexie make an amazing team. We are so proud of them both.

19/6/16 NSW Lure Coursing Assoc Inc Lure Coursing Trial
Judges R Jewels and L Perry. Junior Courser - Ch Caleebra Armani Acqua RN* "Lexie" 165.5/200
Lure Coursing is a newly recognised sport in Australia. With a trial close to home Shell Gurney offered to take Lexie for her first look at the sport. Lexie was a little powerhouse, completing two runs in great time and being very focussed on the lure. She can't wait to have another go. She earned her first pass in Junior Courser and came home with a ribbon.

24/7/2016
With a very recent rule review (July 2016) The ANKC will soon be offering Junior Courser titles to those dogs who have successfully competed at 2 meets (2 runs per meet) with a combined score of at least 150 points at each meet. The new rule will come into effect in October and so Jeanette will be submitting a title application for Lexie who qualified at her 2nd meet today and will soon be known as Ch. Caleebra Armani Acqua RN JC. Way to go Jeanette. So proud of you both.

TILLY -  AWARDED TWO BEST MINOR PUPPY IN GROUP AND A BEST PUPPY IN GROUP AWARDS
12/6/16 Matilda (Caleebra Elixir of Love (AI)) turned 6 months old on the 11th June and was suddenly eligible for points.
But Matilda decided not to stop at points and thrilled her mum (and us) by taking 3rd place in the 6-12 months Sweepstakes and also being awarded the Best Minor Puppy in Group 5.
Great results for only her 2nd day in the class.

17/6/16 To prove it wasn't a fluke, Mr B Walkey from Canada awarded Tilly her second Minor Puppy in Group. Tilly was very pleased with her fringie but happier with the toy bought with her prize money.
One things for sure, she's certainly going to get accustomed to posing.
Congratulations Jeanette and Tilly.

27/6/16
Jeanette was making a trip to Sydney to catch up with the extended Lappie family for a show.
While she was there, Tilly blew us all away by taking Best of Breed from the Puppy Class at only 6.5 months old.

The judge loved her and commented that she was such a promising puppy and encouraged Jeanette to continue showing her and hoped to see her again in the future.
Tilly then took out the Puppy in Group. So excited for such a young pup. She'd only moved out of Minor so as not to clash with the younger Vader, and no one was expecting much from a little 6.5 month old in the breed line up, let alone the Puppy in Group line up.

Tilly beat her Mum who was plainly not in the mood at all. Seems Lexie has found more interesting pursuits in Rally and Lure Coursing and finds the ring a little boring. But not Tilly. She loves it. Any opportunity to earn some food. She's a little food fiend and loves strutting around and preening for the judges.

I couldn't be more pleased for Jeanette who is just thrilled with her little girl. Well done
