Due to new puppies we only made it to the last day of the Summer Spectacular show and we finished in style with Mischa being awarded Best Neuter in Group under the judge from Sweden and then being awarded Runner Up Neuter in Show under the Canadian judge who admitted it was a tough call because he loved both his winner and runner up. It was a seriously warm day and i was so proud of Mischa who showed like a rock star for Robyn. 
The judge loved that Indy wanted to be in the photo and put her front and centre next to Mischa.
Thank you to Ffiona Erskine for capturing this lovely photo. Indy and Robyn love Mischa as much as i do, and she adores them both in return.

Just 2 weeks later and we were at an evening show. The judge liked the Lappies and after awarding both the Baby and the Minor classes in Group to the Finnish Lapphunds i wasn't sure he'd go for 3, so we were pleased when Mischa was awarded Runner Up Neuter in Group. No time for a photo with the judge as he was also judging General Specials. It was a late one and i was grateful to Glen for babysitting the puppies at home and allowing me to get to the show.

On 17th November, our darling Summer delivered 4 hefty and healthy puppies: 4 boys and 4 girls. Summer settled straight into motherhood like she does everything else, with 100% commitment and enthusiasm.
When the first puppy was born I assumed she was black and tan, but as the next few puppies arrived, I realised that except for a tiny burst of white on her chest, there wasn't a tan hair on her. Solid black. I shouldn't have been surprised but i was. The last puppy in the litter was also solid black. But this time i was prepared and worked it out straight away. She had a tiny white blaze on her head. Bookends. The rest of the litter were Black and Tan with various, small, white markings.
Rolli is the sire of this litter, and we're beyond thrilled to welcome his first litter here.

Two months later and the Fearless terrors have flown the coop. I'm thrilled to see them making themselves at home and in several cases as younger siblings to other Caleebra puppies.

FLCV SPECIALTY

With Summer almost 6 weeks pregnant and already having gained 5kg I didn't hold out any hope for her defending her Best in Specialty Show win from 2015, but we took her along for the day anyway and she had a great time and certainly received glowing praise from the judge, who could quite clearly feel she was pregnant. The pause as he examined her and reached her ample abdomen was amusing, as was his verbal feedback that she was 'a little heavy' on the day. 

Also at the show and having a pretty good day were Vegas, Vader and Tawnee from our Diamonds litter, Tilly from our Elixir litter, Alleria and Lexie from our Armani litter, and our cream delight Mischa, from Armahani as well as the gorgeous Aslak from Vintervidda Kennels in Norway. Fenix from our Armani litter, Mimi from our Diamonds litter and Akira from our Elixir litter also paid a visit to cheer on the family. I was certainly glad to see all their owners and was so grateful to them all for their assistance on what was a very busy day for me.

Vegas took out Best Junior in show with most of the others placing in their respective age classes.
